Spice Bazaar Co-Sponsors Association for Indian Development's Annual Fundraising Cricket Match







Association for India's Development (AID) is a non-profit organization that strives to bring a grassroots social change in India throughcommunity development projects. AID works in the areas of community health, education, women empowerment, micro-finance,
and rural development. The Triangle chapter of AID organized a cricket tournament to raise funds for grassroots development projects in India. This cricket tournament took place at Hooker Turf Fields at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Tournament co-sponsors and owners of Spice Bazaar, Mr. James Joseph Thundathil and Mr. C J Thomas, gave away trophies to Man of the Match, Best Bowler, Best Batsman, the runner-up team and the winning team.







Spice Bazaar's First Anniversary Raffle Draw

On Saturday, May 31st, Spice Bazaar hosted a raffle to
celebrate it's one year anniversary. Approximately
three hundred and sixty Spice Bazaar customers entered
the raffle. Fifth Prize winners for Durbar Qaulity Tea
included Bhavana Patel, Sujatha Shah, Gow Harepally,
Sunil Kumar, Sonali Gokhalay, Des Kashyap, Om Prakash,
Akbar and Razia Chughtai Khan, Nikhil Kumar, Belaben
and Hunjera. Sree Laxmi and F. Mistry won the Fourth
Prize for Casseroles. Third Prize for RBC Radio set
was won by Randhir Gill and Sunil. Second Prize winner
for Pressure Cooker was won by Zaheda. And the First
Prize for Tulsi Grinder was won by Aishwarya Jayashankar.

A Christmas celebration was organized by Holy Family
Prayer Group, NC, on December 30th, 2007. The venue
was provided at the home of James Thundathil Joseph
and Mary Thundathil Joseph. The celebration included
children's re-enactment of Nativity Scene and dance
performances. The event also included Love Feast,
where every participant brought cooked food. Children
were awarded prizes throughout the celebration. The
children who participated in the dance performance
included: Jeffrey James, Reshma Carukakklam, Jeshma
Carukakklam, Greshma Carukakklam, Rosemary Binny, Rosy
Mathew and Sharon Emanuel. Tony Wilson played violin
during the celebration. Prizes for the children during
celebration were sponsored by Sitar India Palace,
Triangle Real Estate, Evershine Properties, Spice
Bazaar and Radiant Recruitment.
